February favorites

The February favorite of the day is this shower foam from Rituals. They had a great opening offer when they moved in to the shopping center where I work. I bought one bottle each to everyone in my family and a few for myself. I kept them a secret until Christmas so it would be a surprise and then I had a few opened bottles that I wanted to use before I tried these ones. Good thing, now they are here as a monthly favorite!

Holy smokes, these smell amazing! Compared to Body Shop (which I also use a lot) the Rituals smells are more adult to me, since they are not as fruity. In a very good way! At the moment I'm using the Yogi Flow. I want to keep it forever, but at the same time empty the bottle so I can try the other ones.

Not just the smell is fantastic. I like that this is a foam, and not a gel which I'm most used to. It feels very light and soft to the skin, and doesn't feel as oily and sticky as I can feel with some gels.

If you haven't tried these - Do so! You won't regret it!

Trust me, I'm innocent

I made my bed before I went to work this morning. It sure doesn't look like that anymore.

Hm, what did you just do?

"Yeah, what did you just do?"

"What? ME?! I didn't do anything..."

February favorites

Hi there!

I was planning to make a YouTube-video with my February favorites, but I haven't really had the time to sit down with that. I will be working quite a lot this week as well, and don't know how often I will be able to update the blog. That's when the brilliant idea hit me; I will schedule a blog post for everyday this week with one favorite product of the month. That way I can prepare them when I have the time, and it's not a big deal if I suddenly have to interrupt what I'm doing.

First favorite of the month was actually bought in January, but it's in February we've gotten to know each other and I know this little fella will bring me loads of use in the future as well.

Say hello to my camera; Canon Ixus 125 hs.

I've never been much of a photographer, so when I decided to get a camera I wanted it to be easy to use, so I wouldn't be disappointed with the pictures and give up. Must say this was a great buy. From this month I have a camera in my bag at all times, and I look forward to learn more about what features this one has.

New Sugar Nails by Isadora

Working at a shopping center means loads of risk of impulse shopping. Some better than others. While I was waiting for the bus this Friday I stopped by at Cubus and found the new Spring colors on Isadora's Sugar Nails collection. I could just not help myself from buying one of them and my choice fell on the green one. It reminds me of pear ice cream and just feels spring all the way for me! Isn't it beautiful?

Tights

A lot of our costumers need help when they come to the hosiery department. It's sort of a jungle when you get there. A good example is the men that comes in ad says "My wife asked me to buy a pair of black tights." A pair of black tights isn't just a pair of black tights. Do you want sheer tights or a lot of coverage or maybe some of the fifty-eleven types in between? Glossy, or not glossy? With shaping or without shaping? High waist or low waist?

I thought I should share some of my thoughts with you. Like the thumb rules I use myself.

I used to be a jeans, and jeans only, girl, but now I wear skirts almost every day. I started with simple black ones, but as time went by I got a little more brave, and now I happily wear colors and patterns. This is one of  the reasons I like my H&M skirt so much. It's very simple, which doesn't make it to messy with patterned tights.

If I wear a lace skirt, or my patterned dresses, I try to stick with just plain colored tights. I know some people are really good at mixing patterns with patterns, but that's just not for me. If I'm wearing bright colors or a lot of black I like to use dark gray tights, or the color called Nearly black. This makes the look a little bit softer, and for the black clothes it brightens it up.

For party I usually go for 15-40 den with a shiny finish. Falke, a German brand, is my favorites for this since they don't ladder. If you get stuck in something there might get a small hole, but the whole tights isn't destroyed so you are most likely to survive the night without an extra pair. A pair of 15 den tights even survived my sequin dress! And I can use them again!

For work or everyday use I prefer 50-120 den, 40 if I wear a more fancy dress. I like more coverage at theses times, and they are usually more solid. Also our store is quite cold so it's nice to wear something a little thicker.

I rarely choose shaping tights. If I wear a tight dress where I think it's needed I much rather go for controlling panties, like Spanx. This is because they give a better effect and it doesn't make me limited in my choice of hosiery.

First March outfit

March is here! For me, that means spring. The weather is not so inspiring at the moment though, so I'll stick with black and white for today as well. I did buy another nail polish that yells spring though, which I will probably fix as soon as I get home from work today. Spent the night out with my best friend last night, so there wasn't really time for painting nails then. Must admit I am a bit tired today!

Anyhow. Spring is coming. I'll be working all day. No matter how tired I am, I had to get dressed today too.

Today I'm wearing a skirt from Bubbleroom that I bought before the work meeting this Thursday. The tank top is the one from Hanro that I wrote about this week as well. Cardigan from Primark, same as yesterday. For hosiery I'm wearing Falke Pure Shine 15 den. (I've scheduled a post about tights that will be posted later today, with my thoughts on how to pick the right ones in the jungle of hosiery)

The necklace was one of the first "real" ones that I got. I inherited it from my Grandmother and remember I was told I should be careful, but use it well. Think I was about 5 years old. It's a silver necklace with red amber, and I still find it very beautiful.
