Outfit of the day

Hi!

It's my time of the year again! Even though I long for every season of the year when it's about to change, I must say I'm defiantly a fall girl. I love when it's a bit chilly outside, and I can stay in for a cup of tea and light candles, or dress up in a scarf and jacket and go outside for a walk without getting to warm. And when it comes to clothes this is also my time of the year. Our store is quite cold, so the whole summer I've had to put clothes on when I get in, and take it off when I go out. Now it's the other way around, as it's supposed to be. The colours now are more my cup of tea as well.

When I was sick last week I treated myself to internet shopping and a new dress for the season to come. It arrived the other day, and I found it to be perfect with the new tights from work. I also got to use one of my favorite nail polishes, that has been a bit to dark for summer.

Gina Tricot Nail Polish

I've finally tried the nail polish I got the other day. I really like how it looks, but I must say it wasn't easy to get it there. The brush tends to swipe of the dots so it was quite a challenge to make them stay. Since the dots are swiped away when you try to even the polish the layers get kind of thick. This means it takes forever to dry!

Basically, this is not an everyday polish. But with some time an patience it's not to bad!

What do you think? Good enough to accept the challenge every now and then?

I would say YES!

Kicks Sugar Lacquer

One of Sweden's biggest cosmetic companies has a store right next to where I work. Not surprising that I end up paying them a visit if I have some spare time on a break.

As you may have noticed I'm a big fan of Isadora's Sugar Nails collections. At least my boss has. The other day she asked me if it was the Kicks Sugar Lacquer I used. Guess you know the rest. I had to run in there.

Somehow I had missed that they made these kind of polishes in their own brand. Quite hard to see though since you can't really see the texture from the bottle. Guess I hadn't read the text carefully enough.

Of course I had to try one of them, and my pick fell on a beige one. Even tough I love colors, that's not always the most wearable ones to my clothes. Therefor I was really happy to find a neutral polish with texture. Also like the fact that is a local brand.

Isn't it lovely?

New Sugar Nails by Isadora

Working at a shopping center means loads of risk of impulse shopping. Some better than others. While I was waiting for the bus this Friday I stopped by at Cubus and found the new Spring colors on Isadora's Sugar Nails collection. I could just not help myself from buying one of them and my choice fell on the green one. It reminds me of pear ice cream and just feels spring all the way for me! Isn't it beautiful?

Xantier nail polish

The last brand of nail polish that I got in Thailand was Xantier. I got a few colours of every brand, but most of them were really summery and will probably have to wait in that cute cabin for yet a few weeks. With this one I have tried all the brands though, with was my first priority.

Love the colour of this one. It's good for spring, but it's not too much colour, which is a good option for work. Two coats made the trick and I think it looks really beautiful. Both the other brands lasted quite long, so I really look forward to see how this works out.

Na Na Nail polish

The Na Na Nail Polish was the cheapest brand of the polishes I bought in Thailand. This was only 19 baht, which is close to nothing compared to Swedish budget prices. My expectations for this was never really high, I just went for some cool colors to try it out. The Sheene polish that I showed a few days ago was really impressive though (price 30 baht), so now I hope this one can be as well. The Sheene lasted for five days, and I could have worn it for at least one or two more days if I wasn't so eager to try the other ones that I got.

First impression of Na Na is good. Two layers made good coverage and it dried quickly. Time will tell how long it lasts. As usual I used it with China Glaze First & Last coat.

Details

Good morning!

The time difference between Sweden and Thailand has given me brand new routines. I'm normally a night person, but now I wake up early in the morning (without alarm clock) and can barely stay awake after dinner. Interesting to see how long it will be like this.

Today's details looks like this.

Shenne Nail polish

Hi there!

Tried one of the polishes I bought in Thailand. I really like the colour. I pained two coats as always and I found the coverage very good. I used my China Glaze base & coat and I can't complain about the hold. Considering the price of 60 Baht for two I'm very satisfied with this one. Almost wish I bought one more bottle of the exact same colour. I will have to use it carefully so I don't run out to quickly!

Holographic

Hi there!

Tonight I will show you another nail polish in my collection. This is my newest one, and I love it, the Isadora Holographic! It sparkles really nicely and you get a nice texture. The first time I wore it I could have it for five days straight without chipping. That's really good considering how much I use my hands at work, with unpacking, getting clothes on hangers and so on. Thumbs up for the hold!

Further on I love the look. And not just me. I get a lot of compliments from both colleagues, friends and even costumers. I was talking to a girl at the cash disk while I was wrapping up her things, and she just grabbed my hand starting to feel the nails. She told me they were gorgeous and asked me where I get them done. She practically ran out from our store when I told her it was just nail polish and that she could buy it just next door.

The only thing that isn't 100% is that it's quite hard to get it to cover the nails as much as I want. The glitter gets stuck on the brush quite easily and won't apply to your nail. With some practise and stubbornness it is possible though, an since it lasts that long I think it's totally worth it.

In my room

Heey!

Finally a day where I got home before closing time at work. Unfortunately not before sunset, which I was hoping for. But, tomorrow I've got a day off so I will get a chance to try out my camera in daylight for the first time. It's also the last day off from work before I go to Thailand, so I have plenty to do tomorrow. Will start packing, exchange some money and buy some magazines for the flight. If I have time left I plan for some pamper time so I get to relax a little and get freshened up for another week at work.

Today's pictures are of things in my room. Might be a few more pictures on that theme in the future. I just happen to like things in here.

Sugar crush

I'm going to show you one of my favourite beauty products, all time! The Isadora's Sugar Crush nail polish. I love the matt, yet sparkly effect. Wearing this I often get compliments from costumers in the store. On the picutre I'm using the colour 108 Wine crush. This goes along well with most of the clothes in my closet right now. It's a sober colour that tones all the glitter down a bit. For a "wine" colour I could wish for a slightly more red tone, but I'm still loving it.

China Glaze

I love nail polish! I think it's a great touch to an outfit and show some extra effort. Also it's great when you need to relax, since you give yourself a reason to just sit down for a few minutes while you wait for the polish to dry.

One of my favorit brands is China Glaze. Usually I can wear them for a few days before they begin to chip. I use the China Glaze First & Last base and top coat. It gives a nice shiny look and some extra hold to the polish. Right now I'm wearing a bright pink colour, inspired by the fact that I'm of to Thailand soon and almost can feel the summer already. The name of the shade, Escaping Reality, says alot about what I'm feeling right now as well.
